PicadillyPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 31 August 2007 in Cityscape & Urban. I took this when i was at a conference in London over the summer. I managed to wangle it so I spent the weekend in London being a tourist. I love the fact that seasoned londoners just wander past places like these while at the same time newcomers are awestruck and beome very snap happy! I guess once you get used to somewhere you stop paying attention to where you are! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Makoto from Sapporo, JapanLove this tones, Dave. And I like the wide angle too. 31 Aug 2007 10:43am Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesYeah - its the Times Square of London. I know when i lived there i walked past this many times to go back to Russell square where i called home for a little bit. Its funny i don't remember taking any pictures of this tho. I suppose i became one of them, just passing it by. I like the rich colors you have captured here, i notice that London still looks the same. Mostly overcast everyday - heck i remember when it would be sunny, i would look about and think huh whats different, why does this city look sooooo different today. THEN it HIT me, oh the suns out - cheers to a fine capture of your memories as well as mine. 31 Aug 2007 1:29pm Brian from United StatesA nice capture of one of my favorite places in the world. I like the crouching photographer and his partially-hidden subjects. 31 Aug 2007 1:42pm |
