The Happy CouplePosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 20 January 2008 in People & Portrait. This is my sister, Nicci, and her new husband, Ruairi, during their first dance. I'll b posting a few more wedding pictures over the next few days, in a sorta chronological order from the first dance to the end of the night. All them were taken with the flash on my Canon, whose results I don't really like, so I've converted them all to black and white to make them look prettier! The debate between B&W and colour in those two shots was rather fun, so I hope the monochrome enthusiasts will enjoy the next few shots! Constructive criticism (or just downright criticism!) is welcome and appreciated for all my shots! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

@martie: Thanks Martie Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaYes, the b/w works well here, Dave. It gives the shot that rather elegant World War II look. 20 Jan 2008 7:38am @Michael Skorulski: Thanks Michael Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanI get the feel of the music and my feet have started moving! Good capture of the gliding movement! And the tonality is .....of course......great! 20 Jan 2008 8:50am @Japanalia: Thanks Japanalia @eddy: They are Eddy Forouz from GermanyI love it... Thanks for sharing them. It brings some nice feeling into my heart. 20 Jan 2008 11:39am @Forouz: Thanks Forouz Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaGreat capture, the look on the grooms face says it all. I battle with the built in flash on my EOS400, and have almost given up on indoor portraits. Your bw approach, has given me some new inspiration. 20 Jan 2008 8:55pm @Graham Russon: I don't do much indoor work at all Graham, and hate the flash on my Canon, but I can't justify the expense of buying a proper one at the moment! amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaFabulous moment to capture... ya clicked at the perfect moment!! Hate the flip up flash most of the time, too... but there's still too many other things I want for my kit first as I don't usually need a flash. 21 Jan 2008 2:10am @amy: I feel the exact same way Amy! |
