Bouquet

Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 30 January 2008 in Plant & Nature.

2 days after my sisters wedding, I was charged with taking some photos of my sisters bouquet; this is one of them! I've no idea what kind of flowers they are, white roses maybe?

Constructive criticism (or just downright criticism!) is welcome and appreciated for all my shots!

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

It's a super shot, Dave. The bouquet almost looks like it was fashioned from cloth because of the uniformity of the flowers. Lovely.

@kevin: The very same, It showed up for the reception though! Thanks for your comment!

amy from Rocky Mountain House, Canada

Nicely done Dave. But maybe a deeper dof would bring all of the flowers into sharper detail... maybe f11 or so?

@amy: I know what you mean Amy, I'm happy with the DoF but you can see a bit of discolouration in the flowers themselves at the edge of the flash. Again, this was the pop-up flash on my canon, which I reserve a hatred for! :)

Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United States

They're definitely white roses ... and a tiny hint of blush seems to show in the center ones.
Lovely capture - glad her flowers caught up to her for the reception!

Great shot, and I have the same hatred for the pop up flash. You did a great job of capturing this, well done.

Nice bunch of roses. It would be a fun experiment in b&w.
