Bench

Experimenting with my wide-angle lens; it's a new experience having to get so close a foreground object to get some cool barrel distortion going on!

Constructive criticism (or just downright criticism!) is welcome and appreciated for all my shots!

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia

It's lovely, Dave. The composition, texture and sky are all excellent.

I've never used a wide-angle, but this is fantastic (and now I'll want one, darn it). I love how the bench is so straight and the hills in the distance aren't. Nice shot.

@martie: That could be that I cropped and straightened to get the bench horizontal, but the original one was crooked! Thanks for your comment Martie

Reza from Montreal, Canada

standley from brou-sur-chantereine, France

The foreground and the background seem unbalanced to me. Have you post processed it?

31 Jan 2008 9:21pm

@standley: Not particularly Standley. I think the bench was a little off-kilter, and when I straightened it, i made the bench horizontal, which messed up the horizon!

Graham Russon from Cape Town, South Africa

A great shot, and got me itching for a wide angle lens. Composition is perfect, particularly the rolling hills in the background.
