Stonehenge #3Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 12 February 2008 in People & Portrait. I'm not so much suffering a creative drought at the moment but rather I haven't had a chance to get out and shoot some new stuff! This is the same shot as seen here, but converted to B&W with a hint of an infrared filter to provide some atmosphere! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

@e.: Thanks E. T-Daddy from Dachsbach, nähe Erlangen, Germanyperfect b/w Work. Stonehenge and the Sun lokks like a Star, This is a great Shot. 12 Feb 2008 11:18am @T-Daddy: Thanks T-Daddy @eddy: Thanks Eddy Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesIn this case, I believe the B&W is more effective. 12 Feb 2008 11:56am @Earnest: Thanks Earnest @Steven: Thanks Steven amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaI do like the b/w more for the drama. The b/w really gives it that fantastical atmosphere... but I think it needs less foreground because of the b/w... more of a panoramic crop? 12 Feb 2008 3:13pm @amy: Thanks for the feedback Amy, I do disagree with you on both points, I prefer both the colour shot and the amount of foreground in the image, but it's always nice to get another view! Panoramic crop seems to be your words for the week! :) MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI really do like this in b&w, although the sky is nowhere near as effective in this as it is in the colour version. 12 Feb 2008 3:46pm @MaryB: Thanks for the feedback Mary! @Hoopand: Thanks Hoopand Helma from Tehran, Iranvery nice B&W photo with Good contorast , well done ! thanks. 12 Feb 2008 7:08pm @Helma: Thanks Helma @pLusOne: Thanks pLusOne Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaLike the BW, prefer the original colour though. You should try a free photoshop plugin called Virtual photographer, it allows you to play around with some interesting bw effects, which could be fun with this shot. 12 Feb 2008 10:09pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham @Sandrine: Thanks Sandrine @JC: Thanks JC @Tse Min: Me too Tse! This one is super with the sunflare. 13 Feb 2008 1:30am @Tracey: Thanks Tracey Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaAn excellent B&W shot of this historic site! The composition is also awesome! 13 Feb 2008 2:28am @Stunner: Thanks Stunner Nathan from Fair Oaks, United StatesGreat black and white shot, the sun sort of dwarfs the mysterious stones. 13 Feb 2008 4:06am @Nathan: Thanks Nathan @iVahid: Thanks for your comment Vahid |
