One Foggy DayPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 15 February 2008 in Landscape & Rural. On wednesday of this week, I got to do a riverbank survey in Langport, Somerset. When we arrived at half nine, the place was shrouded in mist, which stayed there til nearly mid-day, and made for some very cool photos! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

@JLT: Thanks JLT T-Daddy from Dachsbach, nähe Erlangen, GermanySehr schön, auch die Stimmung die du eingefangen hast. Super. 15 Feb 2008 8:37am @T-Daddy: Danke T-Daddy Steven from Montreal, CanadaThis is a beautiful image! I like how you composed it and how it leads the eye to the bridge. The tree is great! 15 Feb 2008 11:08am @Steven: Thanks Steven @pLusOne: Thanks pLusOne Tracey from White Hall, United StatesWow! One of my favorites. I really like the subtle colors and the calm feeling it projects. 15 Feb 2008 5:14pm @Tracey: Thanks Tracey @e.: Thanks e. @soco: Thanks Soco @Sandrine: Thanks Sandrine Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaWow, great shot the atmosphere is really nice. 15 Feb 2008 9:23pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham GJC from Kyoto, JapanFog is such a good friend to the photographer! You've got a lovely image here with the muted colors and the nice line of the river leading through the image. I might have thought a little more about that tree on the left; it seems cropped so close to its top that I might have either chosen a different more radical crop or included the whole tree in the image. Right now it seems half-way. But otherwise a lovely image and I envy you the beautiful fog. Any more from the same place/time? 15 Feb 2008 10:23pm @GJC: Lots more! Unfortunately I was on a work trip, and not a photography trip, so it was more a case of snap and move rather than spend a while thinking about framing and composition! MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI love the atmosphere created by the fog, it looks so peaceful and calm. I like mornings like this. 15 Feb 2008 11:08pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary Scotfot from Kabul, AfghanistanVery atmospheric! The Somerset Levels must be a great place for photography when it is like this... you can feel all the legends and history associated with the place. 18 Feb 2008 7:41pm |
