Not so FreshPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 20 February 2008 in Cityscape & Urban. Taken last week during my lunch break, this stream runs just past a pub / coffee shop, from which the sign probably originated from, before feeding into the River Exe! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

pLusOne from Cheonan, South KoreaNice shot, DaveB. 20 Feb 2008 7:59am @pLusOne: Thanks pLusOne Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI HATE< HATE IT, POOR COFFEE PLace, I love coffee, hate that this happened BUT LOVE the shot ;) 20 Feb 2008 12:11pm @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine @ManuelaR: Thanks Manuela drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomI like this. It looks very bleak! Dan 20 Feb 2008 4:28pm @drphoto: Thanks Dan amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaIck! This always gets my goat. Nicely done with the doc shot, Dave!! As to your external drives... what did you look for in one? I'm at a loss as to what I need compared to what I want to spend. I really don't know that much about them... 20 Feb 2008 6:59pm @amy: Well I already had a freecom 250 gig drive, but that was starting to fill up, so I bought 2 of their 500 gig drives, mainly because they were cheap and my 250 gig one worked so well! Saying that, the backup software freecom supply is absolutely crap, so I downloaded free backup software from Comodo, which is cool; once you've copied everything across between drives, you can set it up to run in the background and synchronise so every change you make on your working drive is duplicated on your backup! Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaSign of the times. A powerful shot that is understood all over the world. Quite a contrast from your foggy day shots, and reminds us that everything was beautiful nothing would be beautiful. 20 Feb 2008 7:55pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI'll pass on the coffee thanks :D Great details though, there certainly looks like there is some discusting things floating about in the river. Well spotted Dave. 20 Feb 2008 9:58pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary Anne from White Rock, BC, CanadaThat is awful Dave, though an excellent documentary photo! Don't they impose fines over there for littering and depositing refuse wherever they want to?? :-( 20 Feb 2008 11:24pm @Anne: In theory they do, why noones picked up on this I don't know! Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaI always grieves my spirit when I see such pollution. 21 Feb 2008 4:58am @Stunner: Me too Stunner Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanI also get angry when I'm served old, stale, bitter coffee. I understand your Hulk-like frustration... 26 Feb 2008 11:28pm @Daroru: Fair enough Daroru! |
