On the Edge #1Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 7 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This was taken at Portland Bill in Dorset ages ago, back last summer I think. I didn't like it at the time but played around with it some yesterday. To get this effect, I used the split toning function in PS's RAW converter to max out the highlights with sepia. I did the shadows aswel, but not to the same extent, and I'm quite pleased with the result! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

ManuelaR from Hainburg, GermanyVery interesting silhouettes and one does not expect to see peopl up theis gigantic rock and straight away wonder, how did they get there? Must be a wonderful view up there for sure! 7 Mar 2008 9:57am @ManuelaR: Although you can't see it, there are hand-holds in the rock-face, so it's about a 5m climb up there! Sujit Sudhi from Hyderabad, IndiaSuperb shot. I like the figures on top and how they are silhouetted. Great capture. 7 Mar 2008 12:00pm @Sujit Sudhi: Thanks Sujit @Reza: Thanks Reza @Dara: Thanks Dara Wysterior from Kloten, SwitzerlandWow - a superb silhouette. I often thought about something like this with a rock and the sea in the background. Very well done.
