The Firth of Forth Rail Bridge #4Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 14 April 2008 in Transportation. If it wasn't for the lens flare in this shot, I'd love it. As it is, I like it, but I'll be going back here to try again! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

e. from New York, NY, United StatesBeautiful! The flare actually gives the photo a neat effect. I really like your choice of foreground. 14 Apr 2008 6:59am @e.: Thanks e. Peter Mannfolk from Landskrona, SwedenTotally agree with you. A very nice capture indeed. Did you try to clone out the flare? My first impression was that it shouldn´t be impossible, although maybe not that easy on the other hand... Anyway, this one pops! /Peter 14 Apr 2008 7:02am @Peter Mannfolk: I tried using the patch tool on it, but it came out wonky! Thanks for the feedback peter MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI like the flare too, it gives it a rather ethreal feel to it. Almost like you've captured the ghost of a worker who lost his life whilst the bridge was under construction. 14 Apr 2008 7:53am @MaryB: Thanks Mary @T-Daddy: Thanks T-Daddy Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI love it, completely and fully, it looks like a being's highest wish being in the throes of being granted, it's fabulous! 14 Apr 2008 10:02am @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine Kris from Middlesbrough, United KingdomI Really like this. You must go back and try this again. Love how the foreground came out, too. 14 Apr 2008 5:08pm @amy: Thanks Amy Observing from Chester, United KingdomThat long exposure has made the Forth look very placid. Good result. 14 Apr 2008 8:11pm @Observing: Thanks Observing, it was a calm night anyway! Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaI love this shot, lens flare and all. Great fan off long exposures (because I can never get them right). Great shot, well done. 14 Apr 2008 8:17pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham, it took some experimentation! @akarui: Thanks Akarui Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesBeautiful night shot and I love the flare.
