Filling my Frame

Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 15 April 2008 in Plant & Nature.

Weirdly, I saw this cracking shot from Observing the evening after I took this one.It was a horribly lit day and I was out for a wander, so i decided to try experimenting with some seaweed; I'd never really bothered with frame-filling shots before, but I quite like this one!

As for the seaweed, I've no idea what it's called. I'm gonna guess it's fucus vesiculosus, but only cos that's the only one I studied in school!

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Today somebody said my image looked 'alien'. i suppose the same applies here, as you have the caught the structure of the seaweed very well. Nice color too.
