Lost at SeaPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 10 May 2008 in Transportation. Taken from the road bridge looking at the rail bridge! It amazes me that that bridge is over 100 years old! I can't fathom how it was constructed! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanNow...this is something to look at and wonder!!!!A hundred years old????? I wouldn't have said so!!!! What I like most is that you introduced the sailing boat in the shot as an accent for adventuresome imagination! 10 May 2008 8:49am @Japanalia: Thanks Japanalia, as soon as I saw it coming past I whipped my camera out! @Bonj: Thanks Bonj e. from New York, NY, United StatesWow, great shot! The bridge really puts the size of the boat into perspective. That's a really old bridge though, it looks very sturdy. 10 May 2008 3:37pm @e.: Thanks e. Wysterior from Kloten, SwitzerlandGreat angle and a superb deep blue.... wow 10 May 2008 6:04pm @Wysterior: Thanks Wys Helma from Tehran, Iranwow ! wise eyes and very well done .. nice composed ! thanks. 10 May 2008 6:44pm @Helma: Thanks Helma Observing from Chester, United Kingdom:) It's the little sail yacht that makes this work, without which the photo would be a bit plain. The red sail really gives it a kick. 10 May 2008 8:44pm @Observing: Thanks Observing, that was the idea! @akarui: Thanks Akarui @pLusOne: Thanks pLusOne amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaReally a fantastic pov, Dave. Great information, too. Who'da thunk that could be a centuries old bridge?? 11 May 2008 1:57am @amy: Thanks Amy, it's even cooler up close! Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaGreat shot, marvelous composition. I like the splash of colour and interest created by the sail boat, well spotted. 11 May 2008 7:57pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham |
