Nelson's Monument

Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 2 June 2008 in Architecture.

Not to be confused with Nelsons Column, Nelson's Monument sits atop Calton Hill in Edinburgh; it was erected in honour of Horatio himself, and is in the form of an upturned telescop! More information can be found out about it here

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Cool image, would have liked to have seen the full image instead of a half nelson, dont wrestle with that one too much

@Peter Miller: I tried for the whole thing, but got too much grass in. I prefered having more cool sky!

Stunning shot , the angle is great and including the foliage on either side is a nice touch. good one.
