Nelson's MonumentPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 2 June 2008 in Architecture. Not to be confused with Nelsons Column, Nelson's Monument sits atop Calton Hill in Edinburgh; it was erected in honour of Horatio himself, and is in the form of an upturned telescop! More information can be found out about it here As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

@isabel: Thanks Isabel Peter Miller from Lichfield, United KingdomCool image, would have liked to have seen the full image instead of a half nelson, dont wrestle with that one too much 2 Jun 2008 2:55pm @Peter Miller: I tried for the whole thing, but got too much grass in. I prefered having more cool sky! Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaStunning shot , the angle is great and including the foliage on either side is a nice touch. good one. 2 Jun 2008 7:12pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomA fantastic structure, and the angle of the shot is great. 2 Jun 2008 11:58pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary |
