Tiger Tiger

TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
(William Blake)

I was lucky enough to get a few decent shots of the two tigers at Edinburgh Zoo, which I'll be posting over the next few days. This one was taken through glass, and has been heavily cropped to make it portrait rather than landscape, so I'm quite pleased at how it came out!

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

What a magnificent beast, s/he looks quite a young fella or lass.

Before I read your text, I was thinking how lucky you were not to have to shoot through glass. So great work in this one. The expression is magnificent. Nice one.

Did you have to use a filter to cut out the glass reflection then?

19 Jun 2008 10:26am

@Jon: Not this time, a polariser would've worked, but I didn't have time to get it on! One of the reason I cropped it so heavily was that there was alot of reflection going on to the sides!
