Tiger TigerPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 17 June 2008 in Animal & Insect. TIGER, tiger, burning bright I was lucky enough to get a few decent shots of the two tigers at Edinburgh Zoo, which I'll be posting over the next few days. This one was taken through glass, and has been heavily cropped to make it portrait rather than landscape, so I'm quite pleased at how it came out! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWhat a magnificent beast, s/he looks quite a young fella or lass. 17 Jun 2008 5:19pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaBefore I read your text, I was thinking how lucky you were not to have to shoot through glass. So great work in this one. The expression is magnificent. Nice one. 17 Jun 2008 7:51pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham @Wysterior: Thanks Wys Tse Min from Melbourne, Australianice! wouldn't have known if u didn't tell that it was taken through glass. 17 Jun 2008 11:04pm @Tse Min: Thanks Tse Min Observing from Chester, United KingdomTigers are my favourite big cat, beautiful animal. Dave, the tiger looks really tough and cool! this is an incredible image man! well done... 17 Jun 2008 11:19pm @Ekaputra Tupamahu: Thanks Ekaputra @hooman: Thanks Hooman Jon from Basingstoke, United KingdomDid you have to use a filter to cut out the glass reflection then? 19 Jun 2008 10:26am @Jon: Not this time, a polariser would've worked, but I didn't have time to get it on! One of the reason I cropped it so heavily was that there was alot of reflection going on to the sides! |
