One Misty Morning #1

Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 1 August 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

The first of a few shots I took looking over the Firth of Forth; the fog is locally known as the Har, and is amazing. On one side, it can be sunny and 24 degrees, while the other is bathed in fog and feels like a November morning!

This was processed using LAB mode in photoshop.

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

The mist beautifully enlights this landscape... In the thumbnails, I though it was a desert sand...

nice minimalist imagery - you know if the fog as a name it must be serious! I half expect to see nessy coming out of the mist

@Jason Kravitz: I think its more beacuase of the curiousity value rather than the seriousness, it's so localised its amazing! And were on the wrong side for Nessie! :)

I love the mist, so elusive, so fresh and beautiful like this photo :)
