The Scott Monument #5

Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 1 November 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.

More from Edinburgh; this is another shot of the Scott Monument, taken from up high, near the Royal Mile

As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Your picture looks like an old one, from the 40 or 50's... something timeless about it... probably the b&w, and HDR, I suppose ? I've never been to Scotland, I know England and Ireland well... but I wish to come and visit Scotland... one day... great picture again Dave.

Ted from South Wales, United Kingdom

Like the mono treatment and interesting perspective of a familiar scene (where did you stand?) ...better than the following shot of Waverly (too pink?). Good work again though Dave.

@Ted: Thanks Ted, can't remember exactly where, there's a small set of steps leading from down near the Royal Mile towards Waverley, I was standing on that somewhere!
