In Edinburgh #4Posted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 5 November 2008 in Cityscape & Urban. A very similar shot to this one, but with a bit more; not sure which I prefer! As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

Zygene from morlaix, FranceUne atmosphère de tout beauté et bien sombre comme je les aime. 5 Nov 2008 5:25am @Zygene: Merci Fabrice Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomThis image say's Edinburgh, and I've alway's regarded this structure as gothic and old. Good classic shot Dave. 5 Nov 2008 5:30am @Observing: Thanks Mike João Mourão from Amadora, Portugalthose buildings in the right background just don't belong there. Nice shot. 5 Nov 2008 7:24am @João Mourão: Thanks Joao Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainI like those buildings and the b/w of the photo. Maybe a little bit more luminous would be even better. 5 Nov 2008 7:31am @Paco Díaz: Probably Paco, thanks for the feedback! @zOOm: Thanks zOOm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI think I prefer the other one, only because of the modern building on the right, my eyes keep been drawn to that part of the photograph, also it could be the older building in the right forground, that is leading my eye there, if you see what i mean. 5 Nov 2008 12:22pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary, I know exactly what you mean, I was struggling for shots until I wen't out and did some night-time work last night! @Veronelle: It's actually a monument, but I can see how you could get confused! Ana Lúcia from Leiria, PortugalThis is an awesome picture in b&w. I am loving your series of buildings. 5 Nov 2008 3:18pm @Ana Lúcia: Thanks Ana Lucia Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaThey're both so superb, but still I'll go with previous, simply because it has more 'mood' that's it... 5 Nov 2008 3:38pm @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandI like them both, although the other one has more details. I thought it was a church too, but I read it's a monument, looks great! 5 Nov 2008 4:01pm @Monique: Thanks Monique FLOOG from United KingdomI like both, and against the flow of the tide, I like this one more. It has a more complete feel and I really like the overall composition. But as said, both are superb 5 Nov 2008 4:01pm @FLOOG: Thanks FLOOG @Reza: Thanks Reza Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaNice shot, prefer the previous one and have to agree with MaryB. 5 Nov 2008 8:54pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham akarui from Kagoshima, JapanBeautiful architecture. This shot is nice, the main building is just a little too centered. 6 Nov 2008 1:33am @akarui: Thanks for the feedback Akarui JJ from Jersey City, United Statesanother beautiful capture, both this and the other one are great I think I prefer the other one slightly, but thats just personal preference no other reason LOL 6 Nov 2008 2:40am @JJ: Thanks JJ @Zing: Thanks Zing @ida: Thanks Ida @manel: Thanks Manel |
