RockyPosted by DaveB (Exeter, United Kingdom) on 30 November 2008 in Landscape & Rural. Taken in Lynouth last year at the end of a charity walk I'm interested to see what people think of the sky with this one, is it balanced with the sea or off slightly? As always, comments are welcome, particularly those offering feedback and criticism on my images! (It's the only way I'll learn!) :)

@Florence: Thanks Florence Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaVery, very surreal, what did you do, I love it but what did you do, the slight mauvish/pinkish tint seemed like wonderland to me and then the shore in the distance, green - which by right should look normal - looked totally fictional lol that's incredible, what did you do? 30 Nov 2008 2:25pm @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine, a combination of curve layers and some channel mixer layers as well as a bit of an experimentation! Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomHi Dave, I'm looking at a purple/green image which is very unreal, it's a bit different...! I scrolled down to the point where the green wasn't visible, I thought it was better without the green, personal pref...! 30 Nov 2008 4:26pm @Observing: Thanks for the feedback Mike JJ from Jersey City, United Statesthe colors are surreal indeed, the green layer just doesnt seem to work for me to be honest, I agree with Observings suggestion 30 Nov 2008 5:13pm @JJ: Thanks JJ @Suzanne: Thanks Suzanne Elena Kotrotsou from GreeceI believe that the sky is in absolute balance with the sea! Nice image. 30 Nov 2008 7:02pm @Elena Kotrotsou: Thanks Elena Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaHave to go with Observing and JJ's comments on the green. I really like the foreground and think cropping at horizon would make a great shot. 30 Nov 2008 8:06pm @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham @BoB: Thanks BoB MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI think that I'd crop the the horizon too, but I do like the colour combination, a wonderfully sureal feel to this shot Dave. 1 Dec 2008 9:09pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary, seems to be the general concensus! :) Bess from Watkinsville, United StatesThe excitement is in the foreground. The green is a distraction. Overall I like the photograph. 3 Dec 2008 1:48am |
