Love the light and composition... beautifully done. 6 Mar 2009 11:56am @zahai: Thanks Zahai Peter Miller from Lichfield, United KingdomDave, thanks for your comment, here is copy of reply on my post "Cheers Dave, after some investigation it could also be that the images are slightly out of line as the haloing is not all around, I will keep a tighter reign on my tripod" 6 Mar 2009 12:00pm @Peter Miller: Thanks Peter. I doubt its your tripod, as usualy you notice anymisalignment once you tonemap the image (I'm assuming you're using photomatix), and I can't see any in your shot. If you can on your camera, check the histogram after you've taken your bracketed shots to make sure you've no clipping at either end, and make sure you've captured a decent amount of highlight info! Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomThese shots really capture the unsuppressed feeling of this part of the coast. Again, your processing is so well balanced. 6 Mar 2009 12:22pm @Ronnie 2¢: Thanks Ronnie Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaMakes me just want to walk out to the end of this point. Great processing. 6 Mar 2009 1:10pm @Lee: I've been there, its a 30m drop onto some jagged rocks! @Elora: Thanks Elora @Elena Kotrotsou: Thanks Elena Ian from A tranquil leafy place, United KingdomGoodness! So brooding but so bright... great geology (notes the geologist)... great colors, especially the water and the rocks... incredible detail, near and far. I'll assume this benefited from HDR, but that's not at all evident, which means you've nailed it! Thanks for sharing your terrific picture! 6 Mar 2009 10:12pm @Tony Duque: Thanks Tony, the rocks are Devonian slates with a relatively high copper concentration; gives the water a great colour! socketless from Canberra, AustraliaThis is such a wonderful shot! Such different emotions from the hint colours of the cliff to the moody sky. 7 Mar 2009 3:12am @socketless: Thanks Socketless Brett from McAllen, United StatesFantastic shot. I am just starting to learn HDR and have not always been right on what shots would look good in HDR/Tonemapping, but you nailed it on this one. I especially like how the rock leads your eye towards the horizon. It's wonderful. 7 Mar 2009 4:40am @Brett: Thanks Brett Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesMagnificent seascape. I love the dark, stormy quality and the beautiful detail in the rocks. 7 Mar 2009 8:03am @Suzanne: Thanks Suzanne DarkElf from Perth, Australiaanother stunner! what else can I add ;-) i think i have said it all before - you have taken and produced some amazing landscapes! 7 Mar 2009 10:37am @DarkElf: Thanks DarkElf manel from girona, SpainAcabo de dar un paseo por tus últimas fotos. I love the geometry of the composition, with the rocks ideally extending into the horizon, towards the bad weather, almost daring the unknown. 11 Mar 2009 3:57am @Francesco Gallarotti: Thanks Francesco @Addey Kehinde: Thanks Addey Alivia from Saint-Etienne, FranceQuelle atmosphère surréaliste, quelle irréalité, on flotte en plein rêve , dans un autre monde .. la perspective immense des rochers si contrastés conduit aux nuages, un ciel si bas et lourd qu'il semblerait vouloir rejoindre l'océan, quelle superbe composition, si riche en couleurs extêmes, quelle ouverture sur l'émeraude des flots, c'est somptueux .. mille bravos.. c'est trop beau !!! 11 Mar 2009 8:26pm @Alivia: Remercie Alivia, vos mots font plus de justice à ma photo qu'il mérite Jeremie from Colombo, Sri LankaSimply sublime, the clouds are amazing... great capture ! 12 Mar 2009 2:44pm @Jeremie: Thanks Jeremie Claus Petersen from herfølge, DenmarkI love how the viewer is lead into this image, by the rocky path, just to see that beautiful dark sky!
