Didier DE ZAN from somewhere, FranceAnother beautiful photograph I like the composition and your treatment 20 Mar 2009 5:36am @Didier DE ZAN: Thanks Didider Shutterbug from Chennai, IndiaI'm zapped. It's as if I lean out to touch, Ican feel the texture of the wood! Dave, this is a masterpiece... 20 Mar 2009 5:40am @Shutterbug: Thanks Shutterbug Laura from Birmingham, United KingdomThis is fantastic. The beautifully tones in the wood come up so well. Lovely composition 20 Mar 2009 8:23am @Laura: Thanks Laura P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomThe hdr treatment works very well for wood and forestry, it brings out the tones on the logs, although the sky does look a little bland 20 Mar 2009 8:32am @P J W Miller: Thanks Peter, although I like the effect on the sky @Pradeep: Thanks Pradeep @BoB: Thanks BoB Ian from A tranquil leafy place, United KingdomLove this picture Dave, this is excellently well pitched/judged/executed. I wonder if there's a tiny bit too much burn between the key trees? - not a criticism, just my first thought :-) In its totality, you've produced a brilliant image. Inspiring, too :-) 20 Mar 2009 12:01pm @Ian: Thanks Ian, I know what you mean about the sky, although I quite like the effect don from Spokane, United StatesWhat impressed me immediately was the overall unique looking color cast. This processing enhances the look of the logs. A strong picture. 20 Mar 2009 3:32pm @don: Thanks Don Marie from Perth, AustraliaHi Dave, I personally love the light and the dark together. I think the lighting in this photo complements the dark tones in the sky. Great photo, framed nicely and very interesting. Thank you for sharing. 20 Mar 2009 4:05pm @Marie: Thanks Marie @Steve Rice: Thanks Steve peter from new york, United Statesintriguing shot! i like the juxtaposition of the chopped trees with the ones standing so elegantly in the background! 20 Mar 2009 4:22pm @peter: Thanks Peter Paunel from Galati, RomaniaI like all. In my opinion, the title can be a focus toward an idea not visible, but in the continuity of the presented reality. 20 Mar 2009 6:02pm @Paunel: Thanks Paunel, although you've gone a bit too metaphysical for me! :) Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomReally like the processing here . . seems so suited to the subject. 20 Mar 2009 6:29pm @Ronnie 2¢: Thanks Ronnie @Olivier Jules: Thanks Olivier Claus Petersen from herfølge, DenmarkNice exposure, you have really captured all the details here! 20 Mar 2009 6:59pm @Claus Petersen: Thanks Claus @manel: Thanks Manel @Graham Russon: Thanks Graham Anna.C from LA ROCHELLE, Francewow ! nice composition and lighting ! I love the dark sky and the tones ! 20 Mar 2009 9:01pm @Anna.C: Thanks Anna @Richard_Irwin: Thanks Richard @One: Thanks One Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaI like what I see here. The only criticism I have is the dark spot in the sky at the top middle of the shot. Otherwise the shot is well composed and exposed. Good workmanship. 21 Mar 2009 4:52am @Lee: Thanks Lee, point taken, the sky was a bit devisive in this one |
